SAMBA, July 3 -- Police foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines after arresting 2 bovine smugglers and by rescuing 18 bovines under the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
Acting on reliable information regarding smuggling of bovines, a police party of PS Ghagwal laid a strong vehicle checking naka at NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal and intercepted a truck bearing Regd No PB10GK 5003 which was coming from Punjab and moving towards Kashmir Valley. During checking of the vehicle, 18 cattle were found laden inside the vehicle without any permission.
