Jammu, March 7 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that his government remains resolute in working towards restoration of statehood.
In his budget speech, Omar said the restoration of full statehood is a deeply cherished aspiration of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The restoration of full statehood is a deeply cherished aspiration of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and our Government remains resolute in working towards its fulfilment," he said.
Omar said his government is committed to holding elections to local bodies.
