The World Health Organization (WHO) and the administration of Wuhan city in China appeared to differ on how a mysterious new virus may have afflicted people even as the pathogen made its presence felt in Thailand.

A Chinese national visiting Thailand was reported to be infected with the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that caused 41 people to become ill with pneumonitis in Wuhan, central China, the WHO said.
