Front of Packet Labelling (FoPL) will soon be delinked from the general labelling regulation, reported FnBnews.com, citing Pawan Kumar Agarwal, chief executive of Food Safety Standards Association of India (FSSAI), on December 18, 2019.

FoPL was included within the draft Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations, 2019. It is aimed at making consumers aware of food products that are high in fat, sugar and salt content.
