India, March 25 -- Zinc futures climbed on Tuesday, gaining Rs 2.45 to reach Rs 278.60 per kilogram in the futures market, driven by increased spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts set for April delivery rose by Rs 2.45, or 0.89%, to Rs 278.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 1,805 lots.
According to market analysts, the rise in zinc prices was supported by participants expanding their positions in response to stronger demand from consuming industries.
