India, April 25 -- Zinc prices declined by 0.53% to Rs 254.30 per kilogram in futures trading on Friday, as traders reduced their exposure in response to weak signals from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for May delivery fell by Rs 1.35 to Rs 254.30 per kg, with 2,464 lots traded.

According to analysts, the dip in prices was primarily driven by subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market, prompting participants to cut their positions.
