India, Oct. 8 -- Zinc futures gained 1% on Wednesday, rising to Rs 296.95 per kilogram amid increased demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), November zinc contracts climbed by Re 1, or 1%, to close at Rs 296.95 per kilogram, with a trading volume of 567 lots.
Market participants said that higher demand from consuming industries and widening of positions supported the rise in zinc prices in the futures market.
