India, Nov. 7 -- Zinc prices advanced on Friday, rising Rs 1.10 to Rs 298.25 per kilogram in futures trade, driven by strong demand from consuming industries.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for December delivery were up 0.37% at Rs 298.25 per kilogram, with a turnover of 616 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions by traders amid improving demand in the domestic spot market, which supported prices in futures trade.
