India, Dec. 10 -- Zinc prices strengthened on Wednesday, rising Rs 1.80 to Rs 308.05 per kg in futures trade, supported by improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for January delivery were up Rs 1.80, or 0.59%, at Rs 308.05 per kg, with a business turnover of 764 lots.
According to market participants, the widening of positions by traders—driven by increased buying from consuming industries—supported the upward trend in zinc prices.
