India, Sept. 25 -- Zinc prices climbed Rs 2.70 to Rs 287.75 per kg in Thursday's futures trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), supported by a pick-up in spot demand.
The October delivery contract rose 0.95% to Rs 287.75 per kg with a turnover of 3,080 lots. Analysts said increased buying by traders, driven by stronger demand from consuming industries, lifted zinc prices in the futures market.
