India, July 23 -- Zinc prices rose by 50 paise to Rs 269.40 per kilogram in futures trade on Wednesday, driven by improved demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for August delivery were up by 0.19%, trading at Rs 269.40 per kg, with a turnover of 2,717 lots.
