India, May 6 -- Zinc futures rose by Rs 2.60 to Rs 249.65 per kilogram on Tuesday, supported by stronger demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May delivery contract climbed Rs 2.60 or 1.05% to Rs 249.65 per kg, with 286 lots traded.

Analysts attributed the price increase to participants expanding their positions in response to rising demand from consuming industries.
