India, Dec. 23 -- Zinc prices edged higher in futures trade on Tuesday, rising Rs 1.20 to Rs 303.45 per kg, supported by a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for January delivery gained Rs 1.20, or 0.4 per cent, to trade at Rs 303.45 per kg, with a business turnover of 3,183 lots.
Market participants said the build-up of fresh positions, driven by higher demand from consuming industries, helped keep zinc futures prices firm.
