India, July 25 -- Zinc prices rose by 70 paise to Rs 269.05 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, supported by improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for August delivery gained 0.26% or 70 paise, with a trading volume of 3,166 lots.
According to market participants, the price rise was driven by increased buying activity and a build-up of positions, following a revival in demand from consuming industries.
