India, Aug. 13 -- Zinc prices climbed by 5 paise to Rs 272.40 per kilogram in futures trade on Wednesday, driven by increased spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September zinc contracts rose 0.06% to Rs 272.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 801 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick to participants expanding their positions in response to stronger demand from consuming industries, which kept prices firm in the futures market.
