India, June 9 -- Zinc prices declined by 0.26% to Rs 252.55 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday, as traders cut down their positions amid weak demand signals from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery slipped by 65 paise to Rs 252.55 per kg in 825 lots.

Analysts attributed the drop to reduced interest from consuming industries in the physical market, which dampened overall sentiment.
