India, July 31 -- Zinc prices declined by 0.92% to Rs 265.10 per kilogram in futures trading on Thursday, as traders cut down their exposure amid weak demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery fell Rs 2.45, or 0.92%, to Rs 265.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 3,639 lots.

Analysts attributed the decline to reduced buying by participants, citing sluggish demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
