India, July 28 -- Zinc prices declined by 0.41% to Rs 266.75 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday, as speculators cut down their positions amid weak cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for August delivery were down Rs 1.10 or 0.41% at Rs 266.75 per kg, with a total of 3,616 lots traded.

Analysts attributed the decline to reduced demand from consuming industries in the physical market, leading participants to scale back their exposure.
