India, Sept. 8 -- Zinc prices rose Rs 1.70 to Rs 279.55 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, tracking improved demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for October delivery gained 0.61 per cent to Rs 279.55 per kg, with a turnover of 552 lots.
Analysts said the rise was driven by participants widening their positions amid higher demand from consuming industries.
