India, March 17 -- Wholesale price inflation rose slightly to 2.38% in February, driven by higher costs of manufactured food products such as vegetable oil and beverages, according to government data released on Monday.

The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) inflation stood at 2.31% in January and was significantly lower at 0.2% in February 2024.

The Ministry of Commerce & Industry attributed the positive inflation rate in February 2025 to rising prices in categories such as food manufacturing, food articles, other manufacturing, non-food articles, and textiles.
