India, Dec. 15 -- Wheels India has entered into a Technical Assistance Agreement with Japan-based Topy Industries for the design, development and manufacture of aluminium alloy wheels. Under the agreement, Topy will provide technical knowhow and engineering support to strengthen Wheels India's design and manufacturing capabilities in the cast aluminium wheels segment.
Wheels India forayed into the alloy wheels business in FY21 with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Thervoi Kandigai near Chennai. While the company initially focused on exports to the US and European aftermarket, it is now expanding its presence in the domestic market and has commenced supplies to Indian OEMs such as Tata Motors and Stellantis.
