India, July 7 -- WEP Solutions Ltd has announced that it has received a communication/order from the Commissioner of Customs (Appeals-I), Chennai, imposing a fine and penalty under the Customs Act, 1962.

As per the order, the company has been levied a fine of Rs 25,000 and a penalty of Rs 10,000 under Sections 125(1) and 112(a) of the Act, due to non-registration of goods under the PIMS (Pre-Import Monitoring System) within the stipulated time as per the relevant DGFT notification.

The order was received on July 5, 2025, and has been issued by the First Appellate Authority. WEP Solutions stated that it does not intend to appeal the decision, given the relatively small amount involved.
