India, Feb. 12 -- India's largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea Ltd Monday said its board has appointed Suresh Vaswani as an independent director for three years.
"...based on the recommendation of the nomination & remuneration committee, the board of directors of the company have appointed Suresh Choithram Vaswani as an additional director, qualifying as an independent director on the board of the company for a period of 3 years with effect from 8 February, 2019," the company said in a regulatory filing.
Vaswani, 59, is an engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and holds a management degree from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
