India, Dec. 30 -- Eicher Motors Ltd on Tuesday said its subsidiary VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) has received a GST demand of Rs 192.36 crore, along with penalty and applicable interest, in connection with a matter related to delayed reporting of credit notes for FY 2017–18.
In a regulatory filing, Eicher Motors said that in July 2025, VECV had received a show-cause notice (SCN) from the Commissioner, CGST & Central Excise, Ujjain Commissionerate alleging contravention of provisions of the CGST Act, 2017, involving a GST amount of Rs 168.19 crore and an equivalent penalty.
