India, Dec. 2 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday announced the elevation of Usha Janakiraman to the position of Executive Director (ED) in the Department of Supervision.
Before her appointment, Janakiraman served as Chief General Manager-in-Charge in the Department of Regulation at the RBI's Central Office in Mumbai. Her new role takes effect from December 1, 2025.
With over three decades of experience at the RBI, Janakiraman has worked extensively across regulation, external investments and operations, banking supervision, public debt management, currency management, and several other key areas.
