India, Sept. 9 -- Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and New & Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, will inaugurate a state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) Testing Facility at the Alipore Regional Laboratory in Kolkata on September 10, 2025. The event will be held in New Delhi.
The new facility is equipped with advanced infrastructure to conduct comprehensive testing of EV batteries and components. It will cover areas such as electrical safety, FCC/ISED compliance, functional safety, durability, climate performance (IP, UV, corrosion), as well as mechanical and material safety, including flammability and glow wire testing.
