India, Nov. 7 -- The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the technical arm of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) to collaborate on research, joint studies, and technical contributions in advanced telecom technologies and global standardisation efforts.
Signed on November 7, 2025, the MoU establishes a framework for cooperation in developing India-specific telecom standards and exploring future technologies such as 6G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), NGN, and VoIP.
