India, Sept. 8 -- SPML Infra Limited, a leading water infrastructure development company, has won a Rs 1,438 crore (USD 163 million, inclusive of GST) project in joint venture with JWIL Infra Limited, with SPML holding a 51 per cent share. The contract was awarded by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Bharatpur, Rajasthan, under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
The project is aimed at strengthening water supply infrastructure to provide safe drinking water to more than 1.5 million residents in Dholpur and Saipau blocks. It includes construction of an intake well, raw water reservoirs of 10 MCM and 12 MCM on the Chambal River, laying of 712 kilometres of pipelines ranging from 100 mm to 2000 mm in diameter, building 21 elevated s...
