India, Sept. 16 -- SpiceJet has finalised lease agreements to induct eight additional Boeing 737 aircraft, boosting its fleet ahead of the Winter Schedule 2025. With this move, the airline's total planned additions rise to 18 aircraft, aimed at meeting increased passenger demand during the festive and winter travel season.

This announcement follows two earlier lease agreements for 10 Boeing 737s scheduled to join the fleet starting October 2025. Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer of SpiceJet, said the expanded fleet underscores the airline's focus on increasing capacity, enhancing connectivity, and offering a superior flying experience, while also enabling higher frequencies on key routes.
