India, Dec. 17 -- Silver prices jumped sharply on Wednesday to cross the Rs 2 lakh per kg level for the first time in the Delhi markets, driven by strong domestic and global demand. According to the All India Sarafa Association, silver surged by Rs 7,300 to trade at Rs 2,05,800 per kg, up from the previous close of Rs 1,98,500 per kg.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the local bullion market rose by Rs 600 to Rs 1,36,500 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes), compared with the previous closing level of Rs 1,35,900 per 10 grams.
