India, Dec. 30 -- Silver prices staged a strong recovery on Tuesday, rising by over 4 per cent to Rs 2,34,019 per kg in futures trade, after witnessing a sharp correction in the previous session due to aggressive profit-booking from record highs.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver futures for March 2026 delivery surged by Rs 9,590, or 4.27 per cent, to Rs 2,34,019 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 11,915 lots.

The white metal had soared by Rs 14,387, or nearly 6 per cent, to hit a record high of Rs 2,54,174 per kg on Monday. However, heavy profit-taking later dragged prices lower by Rs 15,358, or 6.40 per cent, to close at Rs 2,24,429 per kg.
