India, July 18 -- Silver prices rose sharply by Rs 911 to Rs 1,13,245 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, driven by heightened buying activity from market participants.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for September delivery climbed Rs 911, or 0.81%, to Rs 1,13,245 per kg, with a trading volume of 18,030 lots.
According to analysts, the price surge was primarily due to the buildup of fresh positions by traders.
