India, May 30 -- Silver prices declined by ?556 to ?97,270 per kilogram in futures trade on Friday, as traders trimmed their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery fell by 0.57% to ?97,270 per kilogram, with a trading volume of 18,851 lots.

According to analysts, the drop in prices was largely driven by profit booking and a sell-off at prevailing market levels.
