India, July 30 -- Silver prices edged lower on Wednesday, falling by Rs 28 to Rs 1,13,725 per kilogram, as traders pared down their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for September delivery declined by Rs 28, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 1,13,725 per kilogram, with a trading volume of 15,622 lots.

According to analysts, the dip in prices was primarily driven by profit booking and reduced buying interest at current levels.
