India, May 6 -- Silver futures rallied Rs 2,096 to Rs 96,520 per kilogram on Tuesday as traders ramped up their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the July delivery contract surged Rs 2,096 or 2.22% to Rs 96,520 per kg, with a trading volume of 17,247 lots.

Analysts attributed the sharp rise to fresh buying interest and buildup of new positions by market participants.
