India, July 28 -- Silver prices gained Rs 116 to reach Rs 1,13,168 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday, as traders increased their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for September delivery rose by Rs 116 or 0.1% to Rs 1,13,168 per kg, with a trading volume of 16,021 lots.

According to analysts, the uptick in prices was driven by fresh buying interest from participants.
