India, Aug. 6 -- Silver prices declined by Rs 230 to Rs 1,13,274 per kilogram on Wednesday as traders trimmed their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), September delivery contracts fell by 0.2% or Rs 230, with a trading volume of 17,445 lots.

Analysts attributed the drop to profit booking at prevailing price levels, which led to a sell-off in the market.
