India, March 12 -- Silver prices edged up by Rs 174 to Rs 98,306 per kilogram on Wednesday as market participants expanded their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, May delivery silver contracts gained Rs 174, or 0.18 per cent, to reach Rs 98,306 per kg, with a trading volume of 20,731 lots.
Analysts attributed the price increase to fresh position-building by traders.
