India, Jan. 6 -- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), a Maharatna CPSE and one of India's leading steel producers, recorded its highest-ever sales for the month of December, clocking 2.1 million tonnes (MT) (provisional) in December 2025. This marks a robust 37 per cent growth over the 1.5 MT sold in December 2024.
The record performance in December reflected strong traction across product categories and sales channels, supported by significant inventory reduction, improved customer deliveries, and renewed branding initiatives undertaken by the company.
