India, July 25 -- The rupee weakened by 19 paise to 86.59 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday, as a negative trend in domestic equities and continued foreign fund outflows weighed on investor sentiment.

According to forex traders, the local currency is moving in a range-bound manner as market participants assess recent global trade developments.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened at 86.59 against the dollar, marking a 19 paise drop from its previous close.
