India, Sept. 4 -- The rupee eased 1 paisa to 88.03 against the US dollar in Thursday's volatile morning session, weighed down by sustained FII outflows and a stronger greenback.

Forex traders said GST rate cuts and easing global crude prices helped cap losses. The domestic unit opened weaker at 88.09, strengthened to 87.85, before retreating to 88.03 at the interbank forex market.
