India, Oct. 3 -- The rupee slipped 7 paise to close at 88.78 against the US dollar on Friday, hovering near its all-time low, as dollar demand from importers and persistent foreign fund outflows weighed on the domestic unit. Forex traders said trade tensions, global uncertainties, and the ongoing US visa fee hike also contributed to the weakness.
