India, Aug. 4 -- The rupee weakened by 11 paise to 87.29 against the US dollar in early trading on Monday, pressured by continued foreign fund outflows and concerns over trade tariffs.
According to forex traders, a softer dollar index and easing crude oil prices provided some support to the rupee at lower levels.
At the interbank foreign exchange market, the domestic currency opened at 87.21 and slipped to an early low of 87.29, marking an 11 paise drop from its previous close.
