India, July 15 -- India's retail inflation dropped to a more than six-year low of 2.1% in June 2025, primarily due to falling prices of key food items like vegetables, pulses, meat, and milk.
According to data from the National Statistics Office (NSO), the Consumer Price Index (CPI)-based inflation stood at 2.82% in May and 5.08% in June 2024. The year-on-year CPI inflation for June 2025 marks the lowest reading since early 2019.
