India, Aug. 12 -- Retail inflation fell to an eight-year low of 1.55% in July, driven largely by a decline in food prices, particularly vegetables and cereals, government data showed on Tuesday.
CPI-based inflation stood at 2.1% in June and 3.6% in July 2024.
The July 2025 figure is the lowest since June 2017, when retail inflation was recorded at 1.46%.
