India, Feb. 6 -- The Reserve Bank of India has included three Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, while excluding seven erstwhile RRBs, according to official notifications published in the Gazette of India.

As per Notification dated January 12, 2026, and published on February 3, 2026, the following RRBs have been included in the Second Schedule: Bihar Gramin Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Grameen Bank, and West Bengal Gramin Bank.

Separately, the RBI has excluded seven erstwhile Regional Rural Banks from the Second Schedule through another notification issued on the same date. The entities removed include Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank, Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank, J & K Grameen Bank, Ellaquai Dehati...
