India, Dec. 8 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 2.25 lakh on The Yavatmal Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd., Yavatmal, Maharashtra, for non-compliance with regulatory norms on concentration risk management, treatment of wilful and large defaulters, and credit information reporting. The order was issued on December 4, 2025.

The penalty has been levied under Section 47A(1)(c) read with Sections 46(4)(i) and 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, and Section 25(1)(iii) read with Section 23(4) of the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005.
