India, Feb. 5 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 5,000 on Daund Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Daund, Maharashtra, for failing to comply with regulatory directions related to 'Credit Information Reporting'.

In an order dated February 2, 2026, the central bank said the penalty was levied under Sections 25 and 23 of the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005.

The action follows a statutory inspection conducted with reference to the bank's financial position as of March 31, 2025. RBI issued a show-cause notice after identifying compliance gaps.
