India, Oct. 27 -- Tejas Networks has announced that it has secured a Telecom Capacity Augmentation Project from PowerGrid Teleservices (PowerTel), a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), for the implementation of a next-generation SDN-based DWDM network across India.
The project covers network design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of a 400Gbps DWDM system at new greenfield sites and for upgrading existing network links. Tejas will deploy its multi-terabit TJ1600 DWDM/OTN platform, capable of delivering up to 1.2Tbps per wavelength and supporting advanced alien wavelength technology.
