India, Dec. 19 -- The PM e-Bus Sewa–Payment Security Mechanism (PSM) Scheme, with a total outlay of Rs 3,435.33 crore, aims to support the deployment of more than 38,000 electric buses across the country, the government informed the Rajya Sabha on Friday.
The scheme was notified on October 28, 2024. As of December 15, 2025, 13 States and Union Territories have submitted the mandatory Direct Debit Mandate (DDM) to the Reserve Bank of India, a key eligibility requirement under the scheme.
Separately, Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has concluded tenders for 6,198 electric buses under the PM e-Bus Sewa scheme of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Letters of Award have been issued by Public Transport Authorities for 4...
